Most of the CRM apps (Zoho, Ontraport, etc) that I have worked on doesn’t have the Age field. Perhaps the reason for this is that the field Age involves two required field to achieve the answer to the equation – the person’s date of birth and that of the date on which the age needs to be calculated.
The automator in me find myself in a nuanced dilemma on how to achieve this in Ontraport. See, you have to create a field for Age, then choose which type it should be:
Text field or a numeric field?
Of course the correct answer is the numeric field. To get the Age, subtract the date of birth from the given date, which gives the age of the person. Age = Given Date – Date of Birth.
Simple right?
But, is Age truly just a number?
I’m 34, and all the thoughts associated with aging weighed on me. Are we but just numbers in the vast cosmos of life? What part of me is leading me right now? According to Israelmore Ayivor — ‘One of the first steps to successful leadership is to forget your age and remember your dream.’
It took me years to get where I am today, and I am thankful for my inner strength and tenacity to move forward, always.
Age may be a number, a mathematical additional expression of growth on years,
Or it may be a text – an expression of maturity and wisdom.
Whatever your feeling about age, may it deepen your ideas and understanding of what wisdom, age, beauty, connection can feel like.
